Dr. Ingram is the Chair of the Horticulture Department in the University of Kentucky's College of Agriculture. He has served in this capacity since 1990. From 1977-1990 he was a professor of horticulture at the University of Florida with Cooperative Extension and Research responsibilities. His programs in Florida focused on nursery crop production, landscape management, and heat stress physiology. He is native of Tennessee and received a Ph.D. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Tennessee. He has published 50 extension bulletins, circulars and fact sheets, 43 refereed journal articles, more than 90 other research/extension journal articles, and 45 industry articles. Among his honors and awards is his selection as a Fellow of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
